My opinion.
Wow. What a thriller. Everyone was talking about Angela Marsons' new novel so I jumped at the opportunity to see for myself what everyone was so excited about. Even in my wildest imagination I couldn't have expected this.I lost sleep over this book. Not just because the story haunted me, but I simply couldn't put it down.Both cover and title are a perfect fit. It stands out and captures the essence of the book without giving unnecessary spoilers.About halfway through the book I found out online that this is the third installment in a series featuring D.I. Kim Stone as the main character. You can easily read this as a stand alone novel - like I did - but after reading Lost Girls, I honestly cannot wait to read more from Angela Marsons, and I certainly want to read more about Kim Stone's character. I'm intrigued.
Kim Stone is a "tough cookie", but I liked her from the start. She's focused and driven. She's actually kind of a bad ass. I love seeing that in a female character, especially in the role of police officer.
The case itself is... I'm not even sure I know how to describe it. It gave me goosebumps and shivers and it even made me nauseous at times. All credit to Angela Marsons for making this an enjoyable read, despite the cruelty of the case.
Lost Girls is an incredibly gripping novel and Angela Marsons' writing is just too addictive to put down. I'm a fan and I can't wait for more!
